2000 civic auto to manaul tranny swap problem *idling issue*
fter the 2000 civic ex auto to tranny swap, the entire engine harness , and ecu are both changed to manaul of same year. We had couple check engine lights map sensor going back *back firing and ***** and tps sensor which we had to rewire because the automatic intake mainfold is different from the manual. Now all the codes are gone but we are having idling problems, Car at cold would rev all the way up to 3k than when it gets a little warm it jumps from 2400 to 1000 rpm, than after even longer driver it stays at 1500-1700 during idle. in gear i also noticed that when i let off the gas a little bitter no matter what gear the car jerks for 1 sec real bad like first gear letting go off gas. we adjusted everything we can. Except the timing *which we assume is the problem now, maybe auto and manual had a differnt timing*
any help on this would be appreaciated tasnks.

hey man
i sold you the ecu right?
anyways i recently had my tranny swapped out
know this
the TPS sensors are the same.... why would you "rewire" it?
the only difference is the IACV which you would need a 2 wire type IACV to run with a 5 speed ecu.
second , if you're running an auto TB, don't make the stupid mistake like i did...
3 wire IACV's leave a small opening to transfer air before and after the butterfly of the Tb and if you unplug the IACV and leave it hanging... it acts as a HUGE vacuum leak..
to solve my problem , i just filled up the area with JB weld
