Default Help With Turbo Set Up Please!

Hello There My Fellow Honda Fanatics....this Is Offically My First Post.

I Was Planning On Picking Up This Turbo Kit For My B16a But I Have A Few Questions Before Actually Putting On...the Seller Says That It Comes With Everything Turbo, Wg, Ic, Inj., Even A Tuned Ecu,etc. It Came Off His Car But Was Boosting 11psi! I Was Wondering, Since I Have A Stock Motor Can I Just Bolt The Kit On With The 11psi Spring?? Is It Safe??
What Needs To Be Done To The Kit So I Can Safetly Run It On My Motor??
I Know If I Need To Change The Amount Of Boost, But Will I Have To Retune It??

Please Feel Free To Help A Noob...
Thank You Very Much!! Mahalo From Hawaii!!

What size turbo is it? I would get a boost controller and lower the boost, but I'm sure that ecu is mapped for that boost level.

It all depends on what size the turbo is, if its a little t3 or t25 then you will be fine with at 11 psi. Now running someone elses tune is a BAD idea, there are so many factors that could change the tune from one car to another that you would be taking a big risk running his tune. Also, i dont get the feeling that you know to much about boosting a car, and that will result in you turning your motor into a paper weight in no time. I would do some research on boosting before you jump into the deep end and find out you cant swim. Post up a link or get a detailed list of the turbo kit he is trying to sell and ill let you know if you should consider it or get something else

Ok...this is where i get lost, i am planing to turbo charge a ZC DOHC, i have been researching a lot and yeah, size matters regarding the size that the motor can spin easier and the speed that the turbine will spin and push air in the intake, But, 10psi should be 10psi , no matter what the size of the tubine is, once the waste gate sees 10psi it opens...is a measuring unit and should be the same for any given set up, but yeah i have seen the thread of the size bfr and i'm honestly confused.

its all a matter of volume, the smaller turbo doesnt push the same volume of air as the larger turbo at the same pressure.

HMMM I WAS TOLD THAT IF I HAVE A 11PSI SPRING, THE BOOST CONTROLLER WILL ONLY ALOW YOU TO BOOST MORE THAN 11PSI NOT LOWER... CORRECT???

WELL THIS IS MY FIRST TIME BOOSTING A HONDA BUT I HAVE SUPERCHARGED MY 2000 BMW BY MY SELF AND EVERYTHING IS RUNNING TOP SHAPE. I KNOW A SUPERCHARGER IS WAY DIFFERENT FROM A TURBO, THATS WHY IM CLUELESS ABOUT MY SITUATION...

AS FAR AS SIZE I BELIEVE ITS A T3 T4
AND AS FAR AS THE ECU TUNE, I WILL DEFFINATELY RETUNE THE ECU, I WAS JUST WONDERING IF MY MOTOR WILL HANDLE IT FOR A LIL WHILE UNTIL I GET IT RETUNED...
FOR THE WASTEGATE DO YOU RECOMMEND ME TO CHANGE THE SPRING??

I APPRECIATE IT YOUR HELP BRO, I WILL GET YOU A LIST OF EVERYTHING COMING WITH THE KIT....

i would stay away from that kit or at least replace the manifold and missing link with a 2.5 or 3 bar map sensor :ugh:
