just put you some duck tape over the screwed up holes, then get you a cheap mesh grill and apply over intercooler then paint it black

couldnt you just have shimmed the bottom of it to avoid cutting the bumper, or at least make the holes conform to some kind of basic geometry, i.e. polygon, arc, elipse?
