Ok, would there be any way in hell, I could use the gsr engine harness? (It plugs right into my eg car harness except for one plug is left out). reason I can't really use eg harness is because its hacked up from previous use.

what trim is your EG? if it is an EX than you just need to add two wires to the harness at the ECU.....either harness will work just fine.

Its a hatch, cx i think. I used to have a type r converted to OBD1 in there (previous owner had it and blew it), so vtec and knock sensor and vtec oil pressure are all added at the ecu. The knock sensor is pinned into the harness plug. My dilemma is with the gsr harness. I want to use it because its not all hacked up, but the gsr harness had an extra plug. I'll post pix soon

The following pix are of the engine harnesses where they connect to the car harness.

THE GSR HARNESS (4 plugs)

THE 4th plug that doesn't connect to anything on the EG car harness

THE EG Harness (3 plugs)

So if I want to use the gsr harness, what do I do with the 4th/extra plug? What is its purpose? Is it one of the sensors on the IM?

Wow, ok, ill tuck it away. But does anyone know what it does? And what about the sensor on the black vacuum box under the intake? Do I have to run that wire from ecu?

Ok, so heres another problem. In my ecu harness, the pins A17 and A20 are already used with wires GRN/WHITE and GRN/YEL respectively. So now where do I connect the evap purge sol. and the secondary intake solenoid? Because they go into those 2 ports.
