Default b16a swap question "Urgent"

if i put a b16a from a 90' hatchback into a 92' civic 4 door will the wiring harness not work because of OBD0 on the hatch and OBD1 on the eg?
i also have the ecu that came with the car.
would i have to convert the eg to obd0?
let me know what you guys would recommend
thanks alot for your help.

Does it come with a transmission? I believe the 0bd0 B16 is a cable tranny.

yea, it comes with the tranny, it is a cable tranny, so i would have to get a differant tranny. i would have to get the dohc v-tech distributer and injectors right. and then use my d-series wiring harness and wire in the v-tec right?
anything else?
thanks

the B16a was never offered in the US in 90 it must Be a 1st gen B16a OBD0 in order to swap it over to 92+ car you have to use the USDM 94+ Del-sol B16a harness or mod your 92's harness. swpa out the dizzy over to a OBD1 one also the intake and exhaust manfoild needs to be usdm and a hydo tranny or a hasport adapter used and th hardest item to get a OBD1 ECU!

Stick your stock engine's harness on the b-series motor

get an obd-1 distributor for your engine

use an obd-1 integra ECU, that will plug into your stock wiring directly

get ahold of hasport for the cable to hydro conversion for your tranny

install everything & it will work perfectly

ok...since I did this swap I will give you a rundown of what you need for a first gen into a EG...first you need a SEARCH button as it has been covered....at least 2034823094 times. Then you need a keyboard to type in what you need to find out. Then you need a monitor to show you the links to click. But, Since I am in such a giving mood.

p-30, p-28 chipped obd-1 ecu
p-30 or GSR dizzy
GSR or 99-00 rear tranny mounting bracket
94+ or 99-00 Si intermediate shaft and axles unless provided
HASport cable to hydro conversion
94+ integra B series mounts
94+ integra or 99-00 Si shift linkage
94+ integra LS.RS.GS throttle cable
p30 intake manifold w/GSR or p30 throttle body
d series obd-1 wiring harness modifed for VTEC (not v-tec)
obd-1 exhuast manifold
B series fuel line from filter to fuel rail

WHY hasport mount? his car IS hydrolic, but he has a cable trans... might as well spend 400-500 for the hydro trans, and sell the cable for 300-400?
it will save him more time and money doing it that way than buying a mount, and if that trans ever goes he wasted $200+ and hardluck finding a cable trans, than to go hydro and there are more of them out there.

Everyone forgets a 94-97 delsol vtec came with a B16a3(94-95) or B16a2(96-97) so for the love of god. check the parts numbers. you'd be suprised. So don't forget about my beloved sol

I went with HASport all around, because they make a great product, and they are some fantastic mounts. They were by far my favorite upgrade to my motor swap. They add a bit of vibration to the cabin, but I think the pro's far out weigh the cons.

agreed on the mount issue, solid mounts do make a noticable difference, especially when it comes to putting power to the ground!
