break lights stay on please help!!!!!
ok well ive had my car for a bout a year its a 1994 honda civic with a 2000 1.8 ls motor didi a bunch of work and probably 6 months ago i had no power at all. i replaces the psoitive wire going from the battery to the fuse box. butttttt......there are two wires that go into the box. in order for me to get power and my car to start i screwed both into the same one cause it was like the other one had no power. now idk if thats causing my problem but my tail lights are stuck on when the car is on. when its off its fine they are only on when the car is on and when i drive it looks like im riding the brake the whole way. can neone help cause this is cauing power porblems and my battery to go dead and when i turn my radio on if the key is in the on position even for a second the battery will go dead. i tried taking fuses out and the lights wont go off please neone help!!!!

look under your brake pedal, it should be up toward the top of the brake arm, there is a little pin, and sometimes it falls out, or it can go bad, or something else may have happened to it. i had the same problem a month ago, the pin and the nut came out and fell on the floor, have somebody press the button in and look at the back of the car to see if it goes off or not, are you sure they arent staying on when the car is turned off? mine were staying on all the time. good luck

sounds like you have some wiring issues there try starting with why theres no power to the fuse box. check the fuseable links under the hood and all fuses 1 at a time. it's hard to say because if it was just brake switch the lights will stay on with or without the key in. I would suspect somthing to do with the motor swap. and not getting all the grounds in the right places or worst someone chopped the harnes as a 2k motor is OBD2 in a OBD1 car.
