Truth of Cops & Civics...

however... i've noticed a new trend around here... cops only pull over MORONS. 16 year old kids w/ shitty autozone sponsored cars. they look for altezzas, wings, "rims". they get teh cops attention... and if they fuckaround they get stopped. cops are more strick on them... go figure. my car is custom painted, "flashy", turbod... and the cops haven't batted an eye. if u have a nice car... u aren't doomed... juss don't drive like ur on 2 fast 2 furious. nuetral revvs, chirpping tires... cops will hit ya for all of it

I hear ya there. When I had my '91 Accord with a bunch of band stickers on the back (in high school), I used to get pulled over in the same spot about once a month. One time, a cop wrote a ticket and said my "tag light was out," all the while, trying to find a way to search me or my car, and just generally bullshitting me. So fine, I take the "tag light" ticket, which is a fix-it ticket, so I just had to replace the bulb and go to the police station to prove it. Well, you know what? I go to Autozone the next night to buy the bulb, and I realize my damned tag light isn't even burned out. What a load of BS!
Luckily, I ditched the high-schooler car a couple of months later, and haven't really been bothered since. If I ever do get a bullshit cop like that again, though, I won't be putting up with it.

hey.... in my opinion cops are slack at the begining of the month and are jerks at the end, at work one day, on the 31th i seen a cop pull five people over in 45min. every month torward the end i see alot more people pulled than the begining or the middle

yea it also depends in the type of area that you live in. take me for example; average decent size area that i live in, alot of cars that are "hooked up" that like to be stupid with their cars and get in trouble. Sure i got things done to my car, sure i drive a honda. but you wont see me or my team drving around like assholes ESPECIALLY in areas there is a lot of traffic or children and cops know that. Thats why all the cops in our area know our cars and won't pull us over for being stupid, more like fix it tickets. ie. loud exhaust & broken light. someone from the team does something stupid, they get pulled, no if ands or buts, cuz if your being stupid by risking your and other peoples lives you dont belong with us. take it to the tracks where it is controlled, not on a street where the average joe can be pulling out and your being a fucktard and driving at a 100 mph for no reason. oh yea they got 3 civics that look like that F&F that are troopers in our town that pull over idiots who drive like assholes andwant to race anything on four wheels cuz they think their shit can beat them that need to not have a car or a license at that point
p.s. sorry for the long rant thats just some things i needed to get off my chest

my integra preety much is stock if a cop where to look at it, only got pulled over once but did not get an ticket, (past red light while trying to put my glasses on), also the coolest cop i know here in st.louis is a cop named Dave. he was the cop that i met at an Quick Trip gas station,(Guys in Cali dont know if you have these) and actually liked my car, didnt even say shit about me not having my front plates mounted, said he had an Stg2 SS Cobalt and was wondering if my car could keep up with him,(i said you would probably beat me by 2cars but in fact i could prob. keep up) so if a cop can appreciate an JDM Integra i dont think they are hatefull towards civics or tegis. just watch the way you drive, rather have my car in 1piece at the end of the night. speeding for what, just a few seconds of racing, go to the track and you will never get an ticket man, unless u want one.

you know, there's been a couple times I've been pulled over (one was 15mph over the limit by a state trooper in tx, the other was 21mph over limit by my local SAPD). in those two instances, I didn't get ticketed (the trooper game me a written warning, the sapd went as far as me signing the ticket, then him giving me both his copy and my copy and telling me "to think about it").
of course, I've been ticketed for doing even 10mph over the limit.
now I just don't speed, and I don't have problems with cops :dunno:
loud exhaust notes draw attention when the cop might otherwise be looking down and not notice you.
it doesn't matter what you drive, if you get caught by him speeding, he'll get you. I've had people I work with get pulled over in minivans for speeding.

The next time you get caught speeding or whatever ask the cop if you can see his list of cars that he's pulled over that day. And I'm sure you'll see it's not all Civics and Integras. In fact there will be a mixture of all vehicle types.

another tip if you do get pulled over (worked for me):
- roll down all windows, shut down engine, keys go to dashboard
- keep hands on steering wheel until cop is at your window
- keep license/insurance together to speed up process (I keep them both in the same place in my wallet for quick access), and let the cop know what you're going for when you reach for your wallet or whatever
- don't give attitude, "yes, sir" "no, sir" "thank you, sir"
- don't ask questions unless he's really being a dick (have had a few of them)
- don't admit to speeding, just say you're going with the flow of traffic (hopefully, you were)
- don't give attitude
