Need a little info on battery acid. My car wouldn't start in the morning so I caught a ride to work and when I got back last night I found that my battery had leaked all over!! My paint was gone under the battery and looks like the acid also leaked on my CV boots. Do I need to be concerned about the acid working its way through the boots? Any suggestions on best way to clean to make sure things doen't rust through all over?

i would clean it up as soon as possible. I believe stores like Lowes, or Menards has battery spill cleanup kit things. I would be worried about anything the battery acid touched since it probably has been sitting there since before you went to work. I'm not sure how to make sure stuff doesnt rust though. good luck, and remember to either wear gloves or wash your hands right after coming in contact with battery acid.
