Yes. Why do you think there's a VTEC solenoid that controls oil flow?

Coincidentally, I can't hear VTEC when it engages either. Once my turbo spools and the wastegate opens, whatever it was that had VTEC in it disappears in my rearview mirror. Hearing it over my exhaust is simply out of the question.

As mentioned, yes, Vtec does use up oil...

You can turn your caps off... I can read just fine with regular letters

yeah dude, if ur ECU is throwing a code. i believe it disables vtec engagement
lemme ask u this, did u know how it felt before it stop kicking in?
u said since the swap the check engine light has been on hence u would'nt feel the engagement

no ihad the car for two monts already
since then my ligth of check engine is on but last nifth was the first time that hear that when i reach 5000 rpms my car star going ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh?
and yes before i fell it and also i heard the Vtec engage .........
and im been tyring to connect the computer to my car but since my car is an 1997 EX i dont know why i cant read my computer it doesnt appear in the computer at all
some friwnd of mine tell me that its possible that when we do the swap we forgat to conect the wires or something like that żżżżżżżż its that possible

another thing that some have for sale headers for the SI 2000 ??????????

Your information is clashing, the initial post said you have a 00 Si... Now you have a 97 EX... Which one is it?

Second you can't just plug a computer into the ECU, you actually need a program that can read it, and last, I can't understand anything else you wrote.

dude, seriously...
we would love to help u here but straighten up ur english man!
so u had the swap for 2 months but has the check engine light been on for 2 months? what compeuter are u connecting?
go to an autoshop and ask them to read the CEL code then come back here with that info ok?
and screw the headers, save ur $$ for boost dude!

Your car starts going ahhhhhhhhh?? what is that? You mean you can hear Vtec or what? Well my b16 just get louder but i can't FEEL vtec either, it doesn't pull at all. But as they said above, its a b16 so even if you fix the CEL you wont really feel it

2. What code is the CEL flashing?

3. Is your oil level on par?
