Which is piston number 1 ???

im doing my timing, and i need to figure out which spark plug wire to connect my timing gun to.... Is piston number 1 closest to the distributor? or furthest from the distributor??

92 civic EX 1.6L / 4door

#1 cyl is furthest from the distributor/closest to the crankshaft pully

firing order 1-3-4-2
