Default Broken LCA bolt, bolt stuck in frame

the remainder of the bolt is stuck in the nut that is welded on the frame
is it safe to chisel that nut off and put a regular washer and nut instead ?

heres a pic

if I take an air chisel to the nut is there any chance that it would rip off a piece of the subframe with the nut ? or is it pretty solid metal ?

yeah, that lca is just stamped steel, you really should grind or cut it rather than chissle it.

I'd just drill out the bolt and leave that old nut on the subframe. Put the new nut on top of the old nut and call it a day. The old nut is like an extra thick washer.

that happened to me when i was puttin my lcas on.. i took a torch and heated up the side where the nut was, then i put vice grips on the side that broke. i then poured water on the hot side and twisted it out. make sure to heat the one side red hot or it wont work. the heat expands the bolt and when u pour water on it i shrinks to a size small enough to break it loose.

there is no bolt left outside the nut, it broke flush to the subframe
