There are 4 bolts that hold the steering rack to the rear engine subframe and there is also a universal joint that holds the steering shaft to the rack. If your car has PS, there will also be two lines going to the rack that must be removed.

I have every thing disconnected. I just cant figure out how to wiggle it out. Is there some trick to it, or do I need to take the rack apart.

My bad, I didn't have a motor in the way, if everything is disconnected, I woudl think taking it out the drivers side is going to be easiestl. Just twist and fanagle and it will go.

If you cannot find the room to remove it, you can always make some by lowering the rear engine subframe. There are only 4 large bolts that hold it in place. I wouldn't recommmend removing all of them while the engine is still attached, but you could loosen then 1/2 way and probably drop the subframe by an inch or so, might buy you the clearance you need. Good luck.

you might remove the alternator to get more wiggleing room. most of them you just have to wrestle out of there.
