So Im looking into buying a 92 civic si from a guy, its stock and clean it has a broken windsield, and a little body damage. It was titled as a salvage because it was stolen. The blue book says its worth about 2500 but im only wanting to put 2300 towards it. Should I just say forget it then, because according to the blue book it had to have a clean title to be 2500. How much could a salvage title depreciate the value? thanks, samantha

 

Dont pay 2500. If you plan on doing a swap then find one that needs a litte work or has a blown motor. When talking with him say well i priced all the things wrong with the car and deduct that from the 2500. If he goes for it cool if not then forget it. If you really want it then just work with him on the price. I would offer him 2000 and see what he says.
