A warped head is significantly more expensive to replace/fix than a head gasket though... something to consider.
Oh definetly. I did do a compression test and everything checked out ok, I doubt I have to do a leakdown test. I'll just grab a thermostat tomorrow. It could be because I didn't add more coolant after fixing my FITV because I haven't had any issues with the heat for a couple months now.

I think you may have some air in your coolant. Try bleeding it.
