Hey ppl,
I have a conundrum! I want to darken my tail lights but dont know how. I was thinking of spray painting it from the inside but is this the right way?

 

isnt there like a spray that tints it :\

 

alot of people on here will refer you to a spray-on tint for r/c cars. I've seen that work with mixed results, depending on application.

the best I've seen so far, a bunch of guys I used to work with in a body shop used clear coat with some black mixed in it, and gave them a spray with that. I think thats the better way, but it requires you to know people in that industry, or at least with the tools....

 

Remember, if someone rear-ends your car after you paint the taillights, the accident is automatically your fault if the cops notice the paint/tint.

 

Static cling smoked tint worked for me. Or you can use night shades and just wet sand it.

 

i used the RC tint spray on mine, Granted i only did the clear portion but it is still highly visible at all times

 

I have a 96 ex coup and i couldnt stand the sight of the amber/yellow what ever you want to call them. I got this spray off line. It ran me about 40 bucks but worth every penny. I painted them red and left the back up lights clear. PM me if you want the pictures.

What if you leave the brake light part unaltered and only spray the clear part of the taillight?
