Default After head gasket head cleaning d16z6

Ok...I figure to part out the motor on ebay. The d16z6. What's the best way to clean the head? Do I take it entirely apart first? Valves etc? Take it to a place to have it dipped? I'd rather not spend any money on it. There was so much stop leak in the motor (pevious owner) plus the gasket being blown that it looks like someone dumped a mocha latte all in it. Could rust be an issue? I'm taking it off tonight when I get home from work.

Any help would be cool.

I searched, but a lot was from about a year ago. Thought maybe new heads may have other ideas as well.

brake cleaner. Don't use a dremel or any other thing like sand paper on the head.

Brake cleaner and a? Just all over, huh? Then dry if off, or does the brake cleaner just evaporate?

if u no some1 w/ a shop that has a solvent tank take it over there if not brake cleaner or carb cleaner works spray it on wipe it clean. If u lk horsepower you might want to get the intake and exhaust ported out for future use i know a guy in chicago who says 200 for it. Or if u are poor u can do the polish part and polish the intake and exhaust ports for some better flow

So when I take it off, should I just take EVERYTHING off of it? Rocker arms etc. and THEN clean it? Or just dunk the whole thing? I guess I know that it's not a rust issue that I'm dealing with, so that's my last question. I'm trying not to spend another dime on it. It's going up on ebay. I figure someone out there can use it.

Thanks again. If someone has an explaination in a step version, that would be cool.
