No JDM engine passes CA inspection. CA law states that the engine must be from a car that is the same year or newer than your car, and must have been sold in the US.

This thead makes my head hurt....I know you are new, and not tryin to be a dick...but you arent ready to take on a B swap let alone an H swap just by the questions you are asking. If you are gonna get it done at a shop then just make sure they know it needs to be BARd and Smogged and they will get the USDM ecu, cat, etc.

 

Thanks short and simple i em going to have a shop do it and im em vary ready for this swap thats why im doing this research and askin right dick u dont know me so dont judge me on tryin to learn about a swap thanks!

 

I would be careful who you talk to like that... and I wasnt implying you had a learning disability...I was merely stating that the stage you are at right now is far from anywhere remotely close to taking on your own swap and getting it to run, let alone getting it to pass smog.

 

i think the EDM type r has the B18C4 if im not mistaken. there is no C6 or C7. GSRs have the B18C1 and LS/RS/GS integra have the B18B1.

You dont need the info. You just need a U.S. spec ECU or have the ECU verified by Honda saying it is emissions legal for California use. Otherwise, you just need all the emission equiptment on the car for that year (OBD)
