this man is correct.

Hearing it is ok, but you shouldn't feel vtec kick in with a punch.

If it does your engagement point is off. If it kicks in your probably engaging too late, if you bog when vtec hits its engaging too early. The only way to know for sure is on a dyno.


Here is a graph of vtec engaging too early, notice the large dip in power when vtec hits but the jump a bit afterward. it will make it "feel" like vtec is hitting harder because there is a sharp jump in power, but in truth the total area under the curve is less this way
