Default Test Pipe Or Test Poop?

i have a jackson racing high flow cat, putting out into a greddy evo exhaust on my 2000 si, bought the JR cat about a year ago, at first it was fine, sounded great which it should since they are about 250$ but anyway for the past few months the exhaust sounds like it's been rattleing so im thinking on going with a test pipe, i already have a cel eliminator because that even poped up with the JR high flow, so anyone own a test pipe, which is better skunk, invidia, omni, personaly like the invidia b/c of price but hows the quality, even thought its jus a pipe with to flangs welded on it? keep in mind The car is also soon to be turbo, just waiting on the shop. any suggestions ?

Just get a high flow cat. I find it rather selfish to pollute the environment over a few horsepower. Your car will smell and sound like ass, so I would save the hassle and just get a high-quality high flow cat.

on my old hatch i had a b20 and it was turbo with 2 1/4 turbo back exhaust witha apexi universal muffler and it wasnt loud at all. It didnt have a cat either. But what i would do is take your high flow cat off cut it open weld a pipe in there so it is a "test pipe" and then weld it back up. It appears to be there but you get the flow your after with the turbo.

Sounds like your rings are going or seals? Like i said in my previous post that i had a 2 1/4 inch exhaust that was one piece and all it had was the apexi universal. The only time my car smoked is when it was in boost and that was because i didnt have fuel managment. Well i dont call fmu and 255 lph pump fuel managment. That is just my opinion.

JR cat = Random tech cat = poop

Get a Carsound. You won't regret it.

carsound ??? r u kidding me ? they suck !!! I went through 2 different carsound cats in 13 months. Finally, after the second one, I hollowed out the inside, and now it sounds better (quieter/lower) then when the carsound was actually all there.

throw an extra resonator on there if you are worried about keeping it quiet.
