Default making an Ls/Vtec

yup im 99% sure thats what im gonna invest in doing, and i wanna learn this shit a lil better so im gonna build it myself. Looking at b18b blocks and vtec heads on ebay, but the heads are what im worried about. how should i go about this stuff? should i try to buy one from a trusted ebay person thats in full working condition or would it be a plausible goal to buy one that looks ok and if its broken then fix it myself? and is it likely that there will be something wrong with the head that would make it unrepairable?

It depends on your goals you can buy some and just rebuild / build them up... cams springs retainers valves...so on and make even more power out of it. The bottom end NEEDS some work on it before you can call it reliable though.

Default 1993 honda prelude non v-tech

okay here is my topic i have a 1993 honda prelude with about 42,000 miles on the engine the engine is practically brand new "original miles" would you sell the engine for a better more powerfull engine or would you keep it and start to go after the looks of the car? any suggestions anyone.

you don't need to bore out your engine at all.

The only thing that is unreliable in the b18b block is the rod bolts, and the main and rod bearing material.

If you change your rod bolts to arp ones, and replace your bearings with b16 ones or with some quality aftermarket ones your bottom end will hold up fine

Just listen to what I said damnit. We've covered this at my house how many times. Also don't give it the B16 8k revs.
