2006 Civic Si
Well today, im walking out of the school, going home for lunch, and right their in the school parking lot is a brand new 2006 civic si, they are not even in stores yet, and i was like holy shit, and your asking how i got to see it if their not in stores, because the next town over is a huge honda plant, where they make most of the cars. Anyways, one of my friends dads works their, and he took one out for a couple of hours, anyways this thing is a beauty, 200hp, sexy rims, nice body kit, sub with a 8 disc cd changer, race car seats, theirs just so much to say about it. I really wish i had my camera, i would have had some nice pics for you guys, but i was on honda.ca and its not even posted on their yet, i guess because their not even in stores yet.
Anyways the guy said, he had it on the track today, and he had it up too 210 km/h and he said he raced a mustang, and the civic killed it! All i have to say is watch out Rsx, her comes the civic, but now that they are coming out with this, acura is going to come out with a new rsx, much more horsepower, just so that the civic and rsx are not at the same level of perforcmance, because right now they are!

has anybody noticed that the insights weird ugly rear wheel well covers are removable? I saw one missing on an insight the other day. I was thinking how cool it would look if a company made a replacement peice that didn't go over the tire.
If I was graduated with my degree already, I probably would look into this as well as engineering a k series kit for them. If the market was there that would be one bad ass car. lighter than shit, the best aerodynamics of any honda ever, even beats the nsx-r, and k20 power.

I have seen a few of them roaming around. All the local distributors like to test drive unreleased cars in my city.
They look pretty cool, I would definitely take one. I would rather have an RSX because they look sexier, IMO.

it seems like hondas strafing to far from the origninal civic (economy car).. part of an economy car is that it doesnt have anything fancy or 'big' engines because that would up the cost of the car, maintenence and fuel. they should stick to economy civics, luxuary accords and sporty whatever (prelude, s2000).
i dont understand why there turning there economy cars into wanna-be sports cars.. that takes the fun away form the "tuners". the only reason civics became such popular "sports" cars is because they are cheapo economy cars that can easily be bought by kids that will have money to spend on mods. if you turn it into just another sports car, people will start comparing them to other sports cars.. and personally.. honda civic vs a supra or s2000 or rsx-s.. sorry but no comparison. and then honda will have to release a new car to compete with other manufactureres economy cars (corrolla, sentra, mazda3, etc). not to mention they will start going on to insurance in a new category.. but anyways, im done ranting.

they are trying to compete with volkswagon jetta/golf, and cars of similar price range with the civic.
I agreed they are getting too nice and not economy enough, but it's only a matter of time before they bring a different model car over for the economy car, such as the fit
