What is the big difference AEM intakes and ebay nock offs? All i see is a pipe and a filter.

I need to get a short ram for the winter months.

Really nothing. you might see a 1-2hp decrease with an Ebay intake compared to one from a reputable company. But if it's only for the winter - who cares?

AEM comes with a K&N filter which you can clean and re-oil. Don't know what the ebay stuff comes with.

Honestly, nothing but the filter and some 'pretty paint'... Buy a cheapie and then get a K&N filter...

is your full intake all one pipe..if not disconnect the bottom half and put your filter on there at the coupling? incase u didnt think about that instead of replacing your whole intake for winter
