No. The motors have become much more complex and exact. They are built and designed to more specific tolerances and are meant to be run under more exact conditions now. Besides, why the hell chance it? Just like I dont hunt down the cheapest gas I can find, I usually buy Mobil/ Exxon.

lets all take a step back, start acting mature, and leave this thread alone now. the original poster asked a question and was answered early on. its only the internet, no need to argue with ppl over simple things. just move on and be more productive in other threads.

Yeah, your probly right, but this is not a question of immaturity, its irresponsibility. This guy is reccommending not changing a fuel filter. Ever. Thats ludicrious! If the filer was not necessary, then why even include one on the vehicle?

Seeing that he is the only one who suggested waiting until its needed, i am sure that CivicMinded and other readers will change their filter when it is suggested by the majority to change it at ~60,000 miles. He said he changed it ONCE over the 4XX,XXX miles he drove his car and that fine if thats what he wants. He said it was only a suggestion so leave it at that. There is no need to get worked up about it because this is the internet and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. So lets just drop this whole thread and leave it only for technical discussion because arguing can be done with PM's, not on a thread. Also, this type of behavior does not reflect well on HAN when guest's see ppl arguing.

Understood. Ill leave this thread with this. In my opinion, I believe that regular maintainance and fluid/filter changes are extremely important, and should be performed at the least at the reccommended intervals.
