Default Check Engine Light ON?

The check engine light is on in my 97 Civic. I shorted the blue connector and have code 41 stored. Does anyone know what this code is or how to fix it?

The Helm's for the 96-00 Civic says that code 41 is a Primary Heated Oxygen Sensor circuit malfunction.

Probable cause is Open or Short in Priary HO2S heater circuit, or ECM is malfunctioning.

Replaced the HO2S?

I went to autozone and they red the code electronicly instead of my hillbilly methond and it was the upstream O2 sensor. 75$ and a O2 sensor later, the honda is good as new.

Well your "hillbilly" method apparently worked! The upstream O2 sensor is the primary one...
