Default Intermitent roaring sound while idle
My 2002 Honda Civic has started to make a strange roaring sound while I am stopped at a light. It comes and goes and seems to come from the engine. It only comes when stopped, not while in motion. Any ideas?

A roaring? Does your tachometer fluxuate?

No, the tachometer does not move. Someone told me that it might be the cooling fan, I have been driving this car for a few weeks, I wonder why I never noticed it before though...

Yeah the fan can be loud and it comes on at random times then the ECT sensor tells it to.
