hey guys, im new here, just signed up 5 minutes ago :-D anyways, ive actually been browsing the forum since i got my sol a few weeks back, looking for questions n shit, anyways, just wanted to introduce myself, and my sol, my name is Carlos, live in Oviedo, FL (close to Orlando), im 19, and if u want any more info, jsut PM me. And now for the Sol, got a black 1997 Del Sol. 1.6L SOHC non-vtec. has 202K miles on it, got it for 3500. black interior.

mods:
- APC strut bar (front)
- 1 guage ground wire (i need it)
- Blue Cable Covers
- APC air intake system, with K&N filter on it
- Silverstar headlights
- APC Auxiliry lights (100 watt H3 bulbs)
- sound:
-- Pioneer 6.5 all around (4 way in the front, 3 way in the back)
-- Alpine CDA 9847 Head Unit complete with Alpine Ipod Interface
-- Kenwood KAC 8402 (4 channel amp) give me a couple days, maybe weeks, and this amp will be replaced by a JL Audio 500/5 and a JL Audio 10W7, i actually already ran teh RCA line for the sub when i did the install for the speakers
- Neons:
-- Footwells
-- Behind Seats
-- Next to Amp
-- Vynil Cover for E-Brake has neon wire in it
- Tint:
-- 15% on the side
-- 45% (im pretty sure, or maybe 35% on windshield)
-- Limo (5%) on back window

mods, under way, in shipment: import intellegence Xact Blue Guage Face, Intelliglow needle Kit (blue) and blue-green neon wire for behind the clear guage face. These are supposed to come in next wednesday.

Well, thats it guys, i do have a few questions, before i wrap it up if anyone is able to help me. How do i clear up my corners, do i need to buy a whole new housing, or is tehre any way of taking that amber cup out? and, where can i get new cool, (sort of stock looking) floormats, i love the fact that it has 'Del Sol' written in them so if possible, i want that, and it needs to have maybe a blue pattern in it?

thnx, well, my future plans i dont really know yet. im getting a bigger amp and sub. then like i said, i got my guage set coming in, which will look pretty cool, i need to do some more engine mods like Nology Hotwirez, finish the blue cable covers, small shit like that. witht he engine being 202K miles, i am planning on kepping it running as long as possible, but at some point im most likely gonna need a swap, i need to get new rims cus mine look like crap (to be completely honest) ill prolly do a brake and suspension upgrade, but like i said, i ahve no plans set in stone yet :-D

 

HAHA! yeah i was kinda hoping u guys wouldnt really notice oh well, yes, when i bought the car, the reverse light part of the lens was busted, i have still to get a set of Euros but im pondering between the clear or teh carbon fiber, i thinkt eh clear would look better. any opinions?

HAHA, yeah my brother has a 1991 300zx (which, i dno how he managed it, but is in the shop right now cus he blew his SECOND engine, after blowing the first one and his tranny), and him and his friends always hate on my Sol just cus its a 4 cyl. so thats about the time i remind them that they have to get premium gas, and still get half the gas mileage that i do. then they shut up :-D
