Default Does this = me screwed? (flywheel cover bolt)

Well. I left the flywheel cover on yesterday because I figured it was just stuck from 10 years of being stationary. Well I ended up missing the small 10mm flywheel cover bolt. So I tried to take it off, and I'm starting to strip it. I doubt I'll be able to get it off with the small amount of space I have without stripping it completely.

well on the b series, you have the two 10mm, the two 12mm, and the two 17mm.

I'm pretty sure if you just cut the head off that one tiny 10mm and left the stud in the hole it's not gonna have any detrimental effect on your flywheel cover.

I know many drag racers that don't even put the cover back on.

Oh, this is what I forgot to mention, this is what I really wanted to ask. If I take off every bolt but that one, can I still take the tranny off? I got the tranny bracket bolts out so it's just that last 10mm in there.

It'll be easier for me to mess with if I'm not on my back, with my car like 15" above me.

I'm not sure if the tranny will come off or not. I personally don't think it will but you can try it. It might come off with the cover and then you can work from there.

tranny won't come off since the cover is still on unless you can twist the cover around to clear the flywheel. cut the bolt off so you can take the cover off.

Can you drill the head of the bolt off and then use an easy out to remove that bolt? Or you can leave it in after the head's off.
