Another guy I know has a 50shot nx kit on his 2001 focuz...with i/h/e and runs 15.0 before he put the intake on...with intake he'll dip into the high 14's...
They are the civic's new comp if you want to call it that.....
A race between the Si and a Focuz stock for stock will be pretty damn close....focuz has torque and if it wasn't for honda vtec the focuz would smoke the Si...but pretty close and good race IMHO!!

My boy has one that he's working on. It's a 2000 and it's paid off, he's going with an F-Max turbo kit. He's got I/E, throttle body, CF hood & a 2" drop. It feels quicker than my car, but my butt dyno is outta tune.:dunno:

I was on the expressway when a 'riced' out zx3 came sailing up on my ass, he moved over to pass me. All i had to do was downshift to third (at 70) and walked him. he never passed my car and by 120 he was a dot in my mirror.:bigok:
Spraying in a focus is just asking for a blown motor, why is it that honda (and other jap carmakers) can build motors that last well over a 100,000 miles and fords motors (specificly the four bangers) just seem to give up around 70.000 miles. Ford just recently it seems learned how to make a high revving affordable motor with decent power, a task that honda mastered a decade ago with cars that can take out a new ford??? Thats my opinion on fords. (fixed or repaired daily):barf:

I am not going weed through all these posts, so here's the info:
ZX3: mid to high 16's
ZX3's lightly modded 16.3 was the lowest I have seen
SVT Focus:
I have seen these run anywhere from a 15.8 to a 16.3, nearly identical to the Civic Si.
I have seen these time posted many times at both Sac and Sears. These motors are kind of torquey, so they do feel quicker, there 60ft times are decent but they die in the highend, which is probably why Fuji was able to walk on him in a Civic.
My friend had one, put a turbo on it, and it burned to the ground They handle great, and it's a good car (despite it being a Ford) for the money.

youre basically right, my ass was in trouble, (neck/neck) till about 4-5k then he started to drop off...by about 40mph in first gear he was starting to keep up to me again, when i shifted he got a bit ahead of me and then was quickly vanished. at 60 i dropped down because I saw what i thought was a cop. I had him by about a length at all times with a very shakeup startup.
