It acts as a knife and slices away the pad, so that there is a fresh surface when braking. It will wear your pads down like crazy and are unnecessary for daily driving.

I have Brembo OE rotors with Axxis Ultimates. Like CivicSiRacer said, they work great, but dust like crazy. I recommend the blank rotors with the pad of your choice.

I just bought those shoes for my 98 civic ex. thats what you want. I need a new set of drums, too, but I don't know wher to find them.

The front of your car does 70% of the braking. THe rears are there just for fun. OEM shoes are fine.

Well, SIRacer, If your backs are as out of wack as mine are, you get MASSIVE nosedive when braking, especially on the crappy struts im running. For me, every little bit counts.

I run with Brembo blanks and OE pads. Works fine for daily.

i have brembo blanks with PBR pads. the pads are organic so they're easy on the rotors and stop very well.
