:eh:

you bought a ''vtec controller" for $1000? is this an apexi vafc? if it is you just got ripped off.

whatever it is that you have, let a professional touch it. you obviously have no clue and could do serious damage.

I think he means the engine with a vtec controller for $1000.

Either way, don't set the vtec engagement to anything but stock unless you have the modifications to warrant it being placed anywhere else (i.e. cams).

no i bought the whole car for 1000 with the jdm motor and vtec controller I thinks it just a fuel air converter vtec controller and i need to know the best settings for throttle point, correction points, fuel mapping, etc. the only thing i really know how to set is the vtec in and vtec out but i dont know what the best percentage in and out right now i got it set at 0

If you don't have access to a dyno to make these changes, leave it at zero. You will most likely hurt your power if you cannot physically see how these changes you are making affect your powerband.

I take it that it is a stock motor. In that case, leave everything at zero. 15 hp from changing stuff on a stock motor is complete bullshit.

umm.. JDM b16a2? jdm engines are B16A, B16B.. the B16A2 is a usdm civic si engine.

also, adjusting the vtec engagment point on a stock motor will not give you ANY additional power. they are tuned from the factory to engage at the optimal point. you will just lose torque and acceleration. as someone above said, adjusting anything on a stock motor isnt going to give you 15hp.. hell, bolt ons barely make 15hp.

you telling us that no one here that posts knows anything is pretty funny considering your the one asking us for help..

if you want to get some bs answers like "turn your vtech to engage at 1500 rpms man!! youll gain 20 horses!" then go to honda-tech.com

I totally forgot that the 99 SI engine isn't a stock engine! Go set your vfac to 1,000 rpms and get out of here. I can obviously tell you're going to ignore what everyones said and adjust it anyway.
