Default OBD problem!!!!!!!!

I ordered a Gen 3 b16 motor but they sent me a Gen 2 and my mechanic already dropped it and my car is OBD 2 and the motor is obd1 and the check engine light is on. I really need to pass inspection because I live in New York. Someone told me that if I buy a crankshaft sensor, oil pump for obd2 and a obd2 distrubator my check engine light will go off. Does anyone know if that is true or if there is another way.

Your check engine light is on because you don't have the crankshaft speed fluctuation sensor, which is part of the oil pump assembly.

You should pull the codes from the ECU. If you installed everything properly, that should be the only code you are flagging.
