Default still stuck- piece of crap car is ruining my life

hey i have a 96 honda civic v-tec and i recently replaced the timing belt. In the process i shorted the starter terminal while the ignition was in on position i believe. now its doing some weird stuff. battery voltage is good starter wont crank. out of no where the power will die like battery is dead and then just pop back on to normal. for instance i will turn the brights on with no key in the ignition they will be bright as day then die then go back to normal. 90% sure starter is good also.relay maybe?

Check the starter, relay, and alternator.

Check all of your fuses (in the engine bay), if they're okay, replace the main relay.

All fuses are good, battery voltage is good, starter is good, I unplugged the main relay and it didn't make any difference, it did the same thing. ;/ any other suggestions?

Also the interor light pulsates sometimes & sometimes it doesn't
