Default suspension techniques sway bar pic.

does anyone have a picture of a suspension techniques rear sway bar mounted on their 96-98 civic. i just got one off ebay, but it doesnt look like it fits. almost looks like it has to mount to where the shocks mount. not the normal hole in the lca's.

Actually, that sounds about right. '96-'98 Civic's never had a rear sway bar so their LCA's don't have the hardpoint on the LCA to mount the sway bar too. I think the ST bars came with a bracket that attached to the lower shock bolt that you attach the endlink too. I never owned a set but I remember reading about them a while ago.

^wrong...
all 96+ civics have mounting locations in the lca (didnt I JUST say that?).
No 96-98 huh? Just because the states didnt have one, doesnt mean the rest of the world didnt....VTI, CTR are just 2. USDM didnt get "special" loser lca's w/o endlink holes.
The subframes also have mounting holes for D brackets...

basically, that image is it installed on a car...without the body

See the similarities?
The rear plate/tie bar goes on first, with the lca bolts going through it, the D-brackets for the sway (and with it) go on next into the 2 holes on each side of the subframe (hope you got backing plates with it). Endlinks on the bars ends go on last, into the lca holes.
Let the car down and tq it all to spec
Done.

thanks for the help. i did get backing plates with it. will i need the beaks kit also? its 3/4", 19mm. it doesnt bolt to the normal hole on the lca's though. its like it has to mount somewhere near the shock mounting point.
