if you could get your hands on a y8 head....and do a mini-me swap...that'd be even better

sohc vtec is over-rated.

intake/exhaust manifolds and transmission would be the best things to gank from the y8. the mini-me swap is good for higher compression, tho.

actually the y7 throttle body has the IACV built into it, while the Y8 doesn't. The y7 throttle cable plate is also angled slightly different, If you want to switch manifolds, you'll need the little brass peice that the throttle cable connects to off of the y8 TB

i think the mini me swap is a good idea. I have my vtec head just havent had time to valve it and swap it over.

vertical tb's are aweful looking. i mean what was the purpose of honda bothering with that kind of set up? fuel econ? cost? anybody have an idea why honda ran that set up on civics?

fuel economy. plus, its easier to put a blower on it :woowoo:
