Default squeekin noise from wheels..

while i am driving or reverfsing there is a loud squeeking/ schreeching noise coming from the passenger side front wheel. At first it would come and go but, now its getting worst and the squeeking is getting loudeer. My brake drums are fine and smooth to the touch.. so idk wats wrong, someone said it could be the bearings..idk. is it easier to replace the bearings or is it better off to just replace the whole axle itself..?? pelase help thNks...

Why not jack the car up so the squeeky wheel is off the ground then try to spin it? Perhaps the brakes are binding? If you have difficulty turning the wheel remove the brake caliper and check the slides move freely. Also clean the brake pads with some rough sandpaper and add a small amount of copper grease to the edges.
Then do the same on the drivers side before it starts squeeking too!

I just has this problem with my Civic. Turned out out that my brake pads were worn and and my rotors were pretty bad too.. If the noise is mainly coming from a particular side, I bet thats the side that the pads are worn the most..
