Default 4-wheel alignment

doing my camber kit and lowing my car to its stance for the summer this weekend and i have an alignment appointment set up for wed. what opinions are there out there on driving around monday and tuesday before the alignment? also i was quoted $100 before parts. what parts would they need in addition to what my set up is. all i want is it set back to factory specs when it is lowered. 98 ex omni full street coilover and omni upper adjustable arms front, and washer/bolt camber in rear.
EDIT: lowered 2 inches

where are you getting it done? i get mine done at honda. they dont use any parts, they shouldnt have to use any additional parts anyways. call them and ask them what parts they are talking about. my alignment cost me $70.

about driving on mon/tue. it shouldnt hurt too much, however, if your toe is really out, it may wear your tires. im not sure, just try not to drive too much.

i did ask and they said sometimes there are parts required to get the alignment back to spec when the vehicle is lowered. i didnt think that they were being honest tho. you say honda dealerships do alignments on lowered vehicles?

im not sure if its the same for all shops, but mine is lowered bout 1.75 and they did it no questions asked, and no additional costs for parts.

Next time bring some 2x4s with you to get your car up on the rack. It's what I do everytime I get an alignment. And I get an alignment about 4-8 times a year.

I usually bring two 2"x10"x4's, and two 2"x10"x2' boards with me.

I've taken my car to Sears, Honda and NTB with no problems getting on the rack. And you shouldn't pay anymore than $60 for an alignment. Anymore and you are getting ripped. And you don't need any extra parts. Just tell them to adjust the toe to 0 from and rear.

whoa. calm down there tiger. their machine is too high, so they cant align your car?

you may want to ask honda if they'll allow you to do what Mike said. if no one is able to align it, and no one will let you use your own ramp, you may have to raise it a tad

i just called honda and they sait its a "liability" to do an alignment by using 2x4's. should i call and ask other places or just bring my car and 2x4's so they dont have a chance to say no first or somthing? sorry about freaking out, im just at my witts end with this alignment crap. i just dont like sketchy mechanics cause i know too many and been ripped off once or twice.

Check your local SCCA region to find shops that will help you out.
