One quick question. Should I get the LSD for my B18C that i plan on buying? Give me some reasons for why or why not. thank you.

if you can find it, and afford it... then definately yes.

You obviously haven't been in a car with LSD going through the corners or you wouldn't have asked this question. IT is a DEFINATE noticable difference in grip and pull on corners and straights

mm LSD is mostly noticeable in RWD cars... it's not worth the money spent on a FWD car.. unless you autocross because I dont think you'll be cornering all day... just my .02 cents

Do you need power, handling and suspension? It'll make you faster, and thats what you want.. That is why we mod our cars.

YOu don't need anything, but having LSD is a very nice thing IMO. I'd take LSD over a nice I/H/E setup anyday of the week.

This is just from my personal experience with LSD vehicles

Well , then why plan on a swap at all? To be faster.

The LSD will make him faster, straights and corners.

Launching is also improved with an LSD.

I got it, and I am very glad I spent the money on it, I love it.

Get an OEM LSD, I think they run about $500. Obviously Quaife or Cusco is better, but I don't think it's worth $1100.

Alright, well... I've just been looking on HMO and it says at the bottom (Optional-LSD Tranny $300). and on Password:JDM, it lets you select LSD or nonLSD. J/w, thanks guys. I'll most likely get the LSD, it might take a lil longer for the money, but obviously its worth it!

I got a quaife and its amazing, strong and quiet. Best $950 ive ever spent on my car.
The car feels more positive and accelerates quicker, gives you more confidence when driving in any situation knowing that your power is making it to the ground through both wheels and not just one.
Cusco uses clutches which means that it makes noise. the clutches wear out and you must use special fluids in your tranny. Hondas Helical is pretty good. but it works differently. No diff can compete with the limeted lifetime warranty that backs up a quaife, waranteed even if you are racing...

You feel the Kaaz units some under braking too, they are a 1.5 way.
