The car feels more positive and accelerates quicker, gives you more confidence when driving in any situation knowing that your power is making it to the ground through both wheels and not just one.
Cusco uses clutches which means that it makes noise. the clutches wear out and you must use special fluids in your tranny. Hondas Helical is pretty good. but it works differently. No diff can compete with the limeted lifetime warranty that backs up a quaife, waranteed even if you are racing...

If you're looking at an LSD, It really depends on what mods you plan on. If you're going N/A and plan on staying under 250 whp, the stock LSD is perfect; however; If you plan on forced induction, or nitrous, or going over 250 whp, Don't waste the 300$ on the OEM LSD--it won't hold up for very long with such a sudden strain on the rotating assembly (boosted or NO2). If your planning on a serious build, ( over 250 whp ) Spend the money for the quaife, you can't beat the warranty; or better yet, get an OBX--side by side with the quaife, you can't tell the difference; not to mention about half the price.
And if you can't find a quaife for less than 1000$, you're not looking hard enough (yes, new, in box)

I have seen the O.E. LSD's holding up just fine just shy of 600hp...
Are you talking about CONSTANT 6k RPM launches? :P

Yeah, drag launches--but I've also seen a hypeR running 6psi just roll for about 100 feet shortly after launch--LSD cracked and shredded the tranny-had to buy a new one-- ( this was in 03, it was an 02 hypeR--2nd 1/4 run, ever.

I have never heard of having an LSD as a bad idea except for the dude posting above.
