B16A Headers

Wtf... FATHONDA, you are very much misinformed. 4-2-1 is designed for low/mid power. 4-1 is designed for mid/high power. I don't know where you get your information, but you are seriously saturating these threads with some very poor info...

Your header will not have a great effect on tone because of the location in the exhaust. It will make it a bit louder on an N/A car based on the fact that it is less restrictive. As earlier stated, if you are looking for low/mid power then you need to get a 4-2-1. If you want mid/high power, you want a 4-1. I personally have had both and I preferred the 4-1 over the 4-2-1. You have much more flexibility with high-end power over low-end power.

Have you used both a 4-1 and 4-2-1 on your setup? I don't know of any setup where a 4-2-1 would give more high-end power over a 4-1. It's based on the design and the purpose of the header, not so much the setup...

Here's a good article which compares different headers for the B16.

I'm tempted to get some better low end torque with a 4-2-1 header on my old d15b7. I'm tired of getting "beat" when the light goes green. My '95 Odysssey is a 4 cylinder with a 4-2-1 and beats other 6 cyliner vans when the light changes green. Although, it's a bit loud.
