Default phillips hid kit problem

I bought a used phillips h4 hid kit from someone and then learned after I received it that its a prototype version so it doesn't have the same kind of connections like regular hid kits.

Basically its the ballast and wire that connects to the bulb and that's all there is to it. Looking at my 98 civic headlight harness....with three holes...i have no idea how this sucker is supposed to plugin. the guy who sold it to me said it plugs in backwards or something or iono. i'm throughouly confused and am wondering if the 375 i paid was a rip. if anyone has a phillips hid h4 kit...could you show me what yours looks like on a civic and if you have pics of the install..that would be great.

thanks

Sinple, you see those two wires hanging out? (The pos & neg) tap the red to your headlight and tap the black to the ground. You won't need the 3rd (high beam) because the HID bulb only has one 'filament'. Good luck, if you need more detailed directions, just let me know, but it's pretty straight forward.

i have the same kit
just take the red wire and splice it into the low beam wire
and then take the black wire and either splice it into another ground
or just put one of those little metal rings and ground it to the chassis somehwere
its a really easy job
congrats on the HIDs
the phillips is good stuff
but yah
unless you have retrofitted some projectors into the housing...
dont expect it to perform anywhere near the audis or the BMWs
the beam pattern is really messy
when you install you'll understand what im sayin

if you need any help just PM me
or email
cuz i just did this to my car

well i got the hid's to work...its just..what did you do to hold the bulb in the opening and what did you do to seal the headlight housing because the stock rubber grommet doesn't fit anymore

my HIDs were a perfect fit
the bulbs just plug straight into the housing and then you use the little metal wire clip to hold it in place
as far as the rubber grommet thing is concerned...i still dont know what to do with that...
its just open right now
i need to figure something out...
i really dont know what to do about that...
if you figure something out lemme know...
