I have a 2002 Honda Civic and want to install a single disc CD player below the tape deck (where the storage compartment is now). How do I open up the dash to pull out the storage compartment and insert the CD player??

is the CD player an add-on accessory from the dealership? if not, you would need to leave one of the decks off when the other is playing or else you'll get massive feedback into your system, which is a major no no:nono:

--the panel right below the radio console is held in by clips and pops out. it's snug, so try to get to it from the bottom first.


-- 2 8mm bolts with phillips head hold in the a/c, and radio console. once those two bolts are gone, pull out the console, which is also held in by clips.

-- unplug the a/c harnesses and you're on your way
