Default What's legal in Ontario

I've got my '92 civic at 379,000km and i'm the original owner. Now if/when the engine goes, there's obviously tons of upgrade options. I really like the B18C. Is it legal here in Ontario to put an engine from a different car into a civic? What happens when you take the car for the smog test? Do you tell them it's an acura? Do you swap the stock engine back in just for the test? I'm just wondering if it's worth putting a larger engine in if I've got legal hassles. Although I'd really luv to put that B18C in there :rick:

Here is the highway traffic act for ontario, as far as i know it is perfectly legal to swap in a B18, i know several people in the toronto area with that swap. I think drive clean is done according to the engine, but i would call a shop and find out for yourself. Hope this helps, good luck
