i dunno a lot about it myself, but its a part like anything else that does wear out, and if your boy drives hard liek you say it could be...

the leaning into turns thing though makes me think electrical issue or low fluid level issue...i would check to make sure the lines running to it weren't grounding out somewhere.

and call me if my **** comes tomorrow, and ill bring thebalance, im off for most of the day.

I had the exact same problem. His oil is low. Sounded dumb to me to, but fill it. You'll see Don't start playin with the solenoid or anything unless you have to. That part is like $250. For that little piece!!!! Basically the V-Tec will stop kickin in before your oil light comes on.....in other words you don't need an oil light

I didnt post this so you could whore it up and make uneducated guesses, grow up. This is why the civic board took a fvickin nose dive after the crash, anyways, he's gonna check and change his oil and run Valvoline 3 step cleaner through the whole thing. Would anyone here recomend a valve job and head word opposed to a Honda certified tune up? thanks

If it cuts out on you on turns then your oil is low. Keep the oil level in the middle or at the high end of the full level on your dip stick (did that make sense?)

My power steering cuts out on me with a 3+ cone slalom because the power steering pump cannot keep up with the left and rights.
