I like my Kumho's but think they are the 714's or 716's.

I got the Kumho 711's over the 712 cause the shop I was dealing w/ couldn't get them for another month or so, it was summer time, I wasn't gonna wait, so I got the 711's

I'm quite happy with them, I'm not an agressive driver always but when I take a few hard turns they grip well. good for the price

I have both on my car right now h:

The 712 is definitely the better performance tire... stiffer sidewall and more agressive tread design... I'm not sure if the compound is any different. I run the 712s in front and the 711s in rear to encourage a little oversteer :rick:

Search for "Blowout at 100MPH" in the Accord forums.

I had some 711's blowout and wrap around my rim instead of just blowing out. The tread seperated from the sidewall...

I've had both the 711's and the 712's (one after another). The 711's don't suck - they're just not meant to be a spirited driver's tire. They perform well for their price and do well in the dry and in the rain for everyday driving. However, although they are rated to a high speed, I would NEVER take these tires past 100mph. The 712's on the other hand are great for the occasional aggresive driving. They are very predictable - they'll give you an audible warning before you reach their limits.

You said it. After two sets of cheapy Kumhos, I will never buy another tire from that company again.

711's didn't work well for me, wet, dry, snow, rain, track... anything. Just my opinion.
