Default My car is finally back from the paintshop (Not 56k friendly)

Ok..after a couple of weeks without my car and months without my kit painted..its back..and finally painted. They messed up on some parts, theres air bubbles and some places the paints already chipped and my side skirts arent even painted!! But im glad my cars back for a couple of days...i gotta bring it back sometime next week to fix the problems. I paid $1200...it better look right.(not maaco either). BTW..steelies are going to be gone after i get new tires for my front two SI rims.

I've noticed that the air bubbles(i think thats what it is) is only on my back bumper which is fiberglass. Is the bumper being fiberglass harder to paint and have the paint stick? Its like all over the sides of the bumper..its like really small holes, as if i were to take a needle and poke a whole bunch of holes in the paint. Thats how it looks like.

Might I make a suggestion for a better fitment for the front bumper. Go to Home Depot or Lowe's, buy 4 washers and two bolts and two nuts. Take off the screws that are holding up the bumper to the fender remove that plastic crap that is supposedly holding the screw and replace it with the nuts and bolts.

I did this with my front bumper so it'd be more secure to the body. You might want to remove your corner lenses to get easier access to the inside. This makes the front look so much cleaner because the bumper is actually closer to fender rather than half hanging off the car.

sounds like the didnt prep your bumper correctly. theyre supposed to fill in the imperfections in the bumper before painting it. $1200 for a respray? i know out here in cali, you can get a color change (all door jams, trunk, under hood but not engine bay) for $2000

anyway, looking good

WOO HOO! NICE SEDAN!

How does that front bumper fit? I was looking at getting the showoff 3 front, but I can't find one for a sedan... i'm pretty disappointed....

PM me or something, I'd love to talk about it!!

OH!! I have a hood that would go PERFECTLY on that car!! White and everything!!! PM me!

The price was originally 2100, but since I know someone they gave it to me for 1200. But its not just a respray..they actually sanded it all down and removed all the dents. And I didnt get a color change I always had it white so all that needed painting was the outside.

I dropped it with Eibach sportlines..its suppose to be a 1.6in drop I think, but its much lower than that. It used to scrape a lot when I had black widow side skirts on but thats why I removed them and went back to the stock ones. But its not too bad now, just gotta be carefully on some speedbumps.
