ok guys i got it figured out. if i use a new oem y8 head gasket, the y7/y8 mini-me will yeild a 9.96:1 roughly
if i get a cometic mls .051" hg i'll have roughly a 9.65:1

there are other factors involved but that should be pretty close to it. im gonna grab the .051" cometic and boost this bish all day long

this info was formulated by properly using http://www.knology.net/~jediklc/D.htm compression calculater.

Sweet. I'm doing the same thing soon, but I was planning on using a OEM gasket with middle layer removed + head studs. Should be way cheaper.

I'm also just going to rewire the whole engine bay for a Y8, adding the Y8 intake mani, knock sensor, etc. I thought it would be a lot cleaner than hacking up my DX harness to add sensors and stuff.
