yo man gald your ok, that was one clean sol too, i saw it once onliine before too, i wanted one aftter seeing it, but then changed my mind and now finally settled on a 92-95 hatch

 

Dual front air bags is required in 94+ in Civics too.

Different (JDM) headlights are availible. Patrick (HatchVX, in Bumnah's old car) is a perfect example of such.

Digital climate control can be wired in, but it's a PITA.

A Gathers system was also availible.

Only real changes I can think of are that 94-95 models have diff. motor mounts than 92-93.

All EX/SI models had 10.2" front rotors. The SI had rear rotors, as did the EX with ABS. Only the SI hatch has a rear sway bar, all EX's have a front sway bar. Dual airbags from 94+.

JDM models did have traction control (B16 models) and auto climate controls, but they are not worth swapping over.

As for your statement about only buying an SI, I'd urge you to reconsider. The SI is a tank, only weighing about 50 lbs less than the EX coupe. The DX/VX/CX models are very lightweight, prime candidates for a mini me or motor swap. A much better starting point if you don't care for sunroof/power windows.

I want the Si, because I'm not at all interested in a drag car. I'm not planning on stripping it and going for all out speed. That bores me.



I found this site with specs on the Si hatch. What I gather from it, is that the Si hatch has everything I'm looking for in it. Few more questions though:

I heard on another board that no hatches have power windows, but I was positive the Si did. Does it?

Also, the site says the '95 has the remote hatch/trunk release. Is this a '95-only thing like in the Sols, or do all '92-95 hatches have it?

I also found that if I want black interior (I will accept nothing else), the exterior color has to be white, red or black. Dammit...I loved my cypress green, so I'm gonna be lookin into a new paint job.

Sure were, my EG is loaded. Dunno if you are gonna be able to get all you want in a DX or LX, gotta go with the EX or SI. My EX has power windows, locks, mirrors, sunroof, the works. Not a hatch tho but I'm sure the SI is the same.
