Need help with keyless entry for my Civic 98 LX. I tried replacing batteries even tried both remotes which had come with the car, but keyless operation does not work. I need someone's help to understand what's happening, and know if is there any thing which I can do it by self instead taking it to dealer.

Yeah. I was working when I bought the car in Nov 1997 till fairly recently.

 

when I press the remote , the LED on remote blinks. So remote is working.

 

Have you replaced the factory radio recently? The stock keyless entry in the '96-'98 Civic's is part of the radio (I believe the green plug in the back).

 

No I did not replace the radio. Where is the green plug?

Did you get the locks to cycle when you held the button down on the radio?

 

Do the locks work using the door switch or key?
