He should still leave the B20 block in and do the VTEC conversion.

Thanks! Well here is the deal. There is no problems with swapping the motor. I currently got a shop and don't mind swaping in the gsr if need be. I just don't have heat in the shop and don't think I will for a while so I am trying to get what is needed done asap this way I don't have to deal with it later on in the mid winter when it's -0 or at least feels that way. Ummm I drove both the B20 and the GSR in a 97 cx hatch and I think the GSR had a hell of a lot more pull but then again I could be fooled by the VTEC. What do you think? The B20 has a stock clutch and all. The gsr has a Act clutch, flywheel, pressure plate the whole nine. they both perrrrrrrrrr like baby's. b20 is a 97. GSR is a 96 ehhh I know most of this does'nt matter but I figure let me give the most imput on it this way everyone gets a good idea of the problem.

But if you had the cash later on to do more to the GSR....
Just as everyone has told me, it all depends on what you want to do in the future, and what you want right now. If you want a simple power swap, GSR, if you want another money pit project, go have fun with the B20....

Ofcourse you need to a little more than just that, but that would be the first step i would take to doing the b20 vtec conversion. Or, if you have the money, sleeve it, put forged internals, do some headwork, and you'll easily be close to if not above the 200 hp range all motor. Then you also would have the option to go turbo and on a sleeved block you can easily boost 15 psi all day.
