yes it can be done. Just need the 99-00 lid and tails. I plan to do it next summer if i dont sell my car.

I remembered someone trying this and not getting the outer tails to fit. And when I found the thread, it turned out to be Sony_fan :reechy:

so don't you already know the answer? :thinking:

to fill in, they don't fit unless you drill some holes.

honestly, the 96 - 98 lights don't look all that bad, and the 99 onward lights don't look good enogh to warrant changing out the trunk lid, etc.

Just buy the half half looking ones that come on 2000 2 doors...

I know that I'm bringing this back [almost from the dead] but this seems to be an interesting "conversion" that you could do to the back of your car.

agreed.. if you are gonna go through all the trouble to change your trunk lid, at least go with the El conversion
